Production company wants to meet Inland Northwest talent
LOS ANGELES, Calif., Feb 1st, 2010 – Actress/writer Hallie Todd of Disney’s “Lizzie McGuire,” and her husband, writer/producer/director Glenn Withrow, are currently in post-production on “The Mooring,” a feature film starring ten students from Hallie Todd Studios. They will be in Spokane February 19th, 2010 to present “The Road to Hollywood,” a free seminar and Q&A, from 7pm to 9pm at the Moran Prairie Branch Library (6004 South Regal Street, Spokane, WA) to adult actors and parents of young actors. Those who attend will get a sneak peak at a trailer for "The Mooring."
Withrow and Todd, through their production company In House Media Film Partners, are seeking talent for a slate of films, starting with their next project – a coming-of-age high school sports drama, which is scheduled to begin shooting in Washington October 2010.
“We have created our own version of the classic studio system paradigm, in which actors were trained by the studio producing the projects,” said Withrow. “We develop the scripts, nurture the talent, then cast in-house from our national student base. It gives many of these dedicated artists, living outside major film regions, a place to train and develop as actors under the guidance of the people writing, producing and directing the films.”
In House Media Film Partners plans on staying with niche films that can get distribution. The company is keeping an eye on what sells in the international marketplace. “We want to make sure the film will find an audience and be successful,” Withrow said.
“The Mooring,” a suspense-thriller aiming for a PG-13 rating, was filmed entirely on location in Washington and Northern Idaho this past summer. It is expected to be released later this year.
Hallie Todd Studios will also be offering two monologue classes on Saturday, February 20th, 2010 at the Shades Lounge at the Doubletree Hotel – City Center. Registration information is available at www.hallietoddstudios.com or by calling (818) 789-3760.
For more information on the seminar, to reserve a spot in the seminar or classes, or to schedule an interview with Glenn Withrow and/or Hallie Todd, contact info@inhousemedia.com or call 818-789-3760.

A Remembrance
It is with great sadness and love that we share the news of the passing of Hallie's father, producer-writer George Eckstein.
He was an exemplary human being, well-loved and respected by all who knew him. He was a great guy, a wonderful father and a loving, devoted husband. He will be missed terribly.
His reputation as a producer of class and integrity is undisputed. His many achievements and contributions to his profession are too numerous to mention.
Aside from his own credits, during a career which spanned fifty years, he guided and nurtured some of the most influential artists in film and television.
"George hired me to direct his ABC Movie of the Week, 'Duel,' and my career was never the same," Steven Spielberg said in a statement. "I owe so much to him for having the courage to hire a kid to do a man's job. George had passion for telling highly original stories and was a wonderful mentor to me and so many others. I will miss his quiet dignity."

He leaves behind his loving wife Selette Cole Eckstein; daughters Nora Eckstein Sekowski, Hallie Todd, and Jennifer Eckstein; sons-in-law Marek Sekowski and Glenn Withrow; and two granddaughters, Ivy Withrow and Clara Sekowski.
